Η HypaStop Haemostatic Gauze (hemostatic gauze) differs from simple first aid dressings, as it is designed to quickly stop severe bleeding, activating the clotting process within minutes of application.
The package includes 5 individually sealed and sterile gauze pads, ensuring immediate access in the event of an emergency.
How does it work?
Hemostatic gauze activates the clotting process through a chemical reaction.
The hemostatic factor containing:
- It mimics a natural substance required for blood clotting.
- Increases blood viscosity.
- It creates a thick gel at the wound site.

What is the Active Ingredient?
HypaStop Haemostatic Gauze uses:
Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose (Na-CMC)
Na-CMC:
- Accelerates clot formation
- Increases blood viscosity
- Creates a protective gel at the site of bleeding
Unlike other hemostatic gauzes, it does not contain chitosan, a substance derived from shellfish (shrimp, crab, lobster), which makes it suitable for people with seafood allergies.
HOW TO USE
- Open the package and remove the sterile gauze.
- Apply the gauze directly to the bleeding wound.
- In the case of a deep wound, place the gauze inside the wound cavity, completely covering the source of bleeding.
- Apply firm, firm pressure for at least 2-3 minutes or until bleeding has significantly reduced.
- Secure the gauze with a bandage or elastic pressure bandage to maintain pressure on the site.
- Seek immediate medical attention in case of severe or uncontrolled bleeding.
Do not remove the gauze if it is soaked with blood and the clotting process has begun. If necessary, place additional gauze on top and continue applying pressure.
PRECAUTIONS
- Do not use in eyes.
- Do not use in chest wounds or craniocerebral injuries with exposed brain tissue.
- For external use only.
- Use only if the packaging is intact and within the expiration date.
- Store in a cool and dry place.
- In case of an allergic reaction or worsening of the condition, seek medical attention immediately.
