Το HypaGuard Face Shield is an economical yet effective solution for safely delivering CPR, especially when there may be contact with blood or body fluids. It features a plastic, one-way valve that prevents the re-entry of exhaled air and fluids, thus reducing the risk of infection for both the rescuer and the casualty.
The mask is oval shaped so that the valve fits naturally in the mouth, ensuring an effective and comfortable fit. Each piece is individually packaged and intended for single use only, to avoid cross-contamination. There are integrated resuscitation instructions on the packaging – making it easy to use even by non-professionals.
HOW TO USE
In case you need to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), remove the mask from its packaging with clean hands and place it on the casualty’s face, ensuring that the valve is over the mouth and fits properly without any gaps. Hold it firmly in place while covering the casualty’s nose with your hand. Exhale through the mask – the valve allows air to escape to the casualty’s mouth without allowing exhaled air or liquids to be sucked in. After use, dispose of the mask safely and be sure to wash your hands.
PRECAUTIONS
- The mask is for single use only – not reusable.
- Discard immediately after use to prevent any possibility of contamination.
- Make sure your hands are clean before putting on and removing the mask.
- Make sure the mask fits properly and there are no air or fluid leaks.
- Store in a cool, dry and clean place, away from children and sources of contamination.
